Something I don’t see enough of…

Slip on Vans.
The first pair of Vans I ever had were checkerboard slip on’s. I was 15 and they were adorned with pink skulls, it must be noted that if I ever saw these again in my wardrobe I would surely wake up in cold sweats – because it would obviously be a terrible nightmare, but I must not let that one mistake ruin my perception of just how great the classic slip on can be.
First released in 1966 you would be a fool to deny this is and always will be a classic.
Vans Vault has been injecting these into the market, Nick Wooster recently made a pair of Camo slip on’s his first purchase at JC Penney (since being appointed some top dog role there), cool guys like these guys are wearing them.
Such a great change from the sea of Authentics tsunami’ing the market.
Keep an eye out for some of these slip on classics at Area 51 over the next month or so.
Be like my friend Sam here . . . (I’m a fantastic photographer, I know)

My first pair of Vans were checkerboard slip ons too!!! Though no skulls, I wasn’t that edgy…
